What it is
The Louvre offers free admission to all visitors on 14 July. A timed reservation is still the sensible way to protect the visit.
What to expect
Free admission increases demand. Security screening remains in place and leaving the museum ends the visit, so choose the route before entering.
Getting there
Use the Louvre's official visitor information for the entrance assigned to the reservation and check transport notices before departure.
